10-Year-Old Boy Brings Home Alligator
ROCKLEDGE, Florida May 25, 2011
Officers from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission went to a 10-year-old boy’s home after being notified that the kid had dragged home an almost 6 foot long alligator.
Michael Dasher said he was fishing with some buddies when the gator snapped his line and then supposedly started chasing the boy. Dasher started hitting the gator with a stick and then jumped oh its back before finally dragging it home.
The boy was unhurt but was warned that had he been older he would have been arrested and charged with a felony for interfering with the gator.
The Wildlife Officers said they planned to release the gator into the St. Johns river.
