Al Capone’s Colt Police Positive, six-shot, double-action, nickel-
plated .38 Special revolver is about to go up on Christie’s auction block.
Colt’s records indicate the pistol was manufactured in 1939, the year Capone was released from federal prison. When Al died the gun went to his brother, Ralph “Bottles” Capone.
Ralph died in 1974 and his widow, Madeleine Capone, gave the gun to Ralph’s longtime friend Edmund Koeski in accordance with Ralph’s will.
