Lawrence Roberts, a 33-year-old Florida resident was arrested by Coral Springs police for allegedly trying to cut his 15-year-old son’s cast off with a 10-inch circular saw. How did that work out for the boy? Not too good!

Dad managed to cut off part of the boy’s right thumb as well as almost completely severing boy’s right index finger as well as managing to

produce a 3-inch-long cut on his son’s right hand, between his thumb and index finger.

Roberts, 33, was arrested Sunday July 17, 2011 and charged with aggravated child abuse, a first-degree felony, punishable by up to 30 years in prison. Dad of the year was released on $7,500 bond Monday.
