29-year-old Victoria Eltonya Bynes was arrested and charged with aggravated battery after allegedly setting her boyfriend’s (Andrew Williams) crotch on fire. She was booked into the Marion County Jail, where she bonded out on $10,000 bond early the next morning.
Ms. Bynes apparently was hunting for her boyfriend as she first went to Andrew Williams’ mother’s house, where the victim lived, and when she found out he was not there told his mother, “Your son has some explaining to do,” and left.
She then went to one of his friend’s house where she found him and the two started quarrelling. According to Ms. Bynes she had been shaking a bottle of gasoline and flicking her lighter during the quarrel. At some point Ms. Bynes realized that Williams had been sprayed with gas. She was still flicking her lighter and dropped it on to Williams’ lap which caught on fire.
Bynes had no explaination as to how the cap came off the bottle or how the lighter remained lit after it was dropped. She did claim that though she saw the man burning he appeared to be fine when she left…
