Benjamin Gilbert Kennedy – Panty Raider Extraordinaire

Ken Brewer, Winter Haven police detective, was off duty waiting for his girlfriend at a Bealls Outlet store when he was approached by a store employee about a man stuffing merchandise down his shorts.

Detective Brewer approached Kennedy to inquire about the pair of ladies pink underwear peaking out of his pocket but the alleged shoplifter decided to fight instead of answer.

After a short tussle Kennedy was found to have stuffed a polo shirt and 25 pairs of women’s underwear down his shorts.

Kennedy remained in the Polk County Jail on Monday on charges of retail theft, resisting an officer with violence and battery on a law enforcement officer.

Kennedy never explained why he wanted the underwear or why he attempted to steal so many pairs of them.

Kennedy had just been released from one of his numerous taxpayer funded stays in the local jail.

Did I mention that he was found to be wearing a girdle???

Jail records show he has a long list of aliases and birthdays.
