October 31, 2011
Caseton Burruss a 38-year-old from Providence, Utah took a tour of Clearfield, Utah driving a stolen front-end loader – with the police hot on his trail in a low speed chase. The front end loader was the third vehicle Caseton stole Monday.
The Burruss chase took cops through fields and a fence that the front-end loader crashed through and reached speeds estimated to be as high as 15 miles per hour.
The chase came to an end with a foot chase when Mr. Burruss became stuck when he drove the stolen loader off a six foot embankment.
Asst. Chief Mike Stenquist of the Clearfield Police Department reported that Burruss has been charged with three counts of felony auto theft, felony evading, two counts of leaving the scene of an accident, three counts of criminal mischief and trespassing. Luckly no one was injured.
No word yet on what role alochol or Halloween candy may have played in Burruss’s adventure…
