Amanda Clayton, Lottery Winner and Welfare Cheat, was discovered dead in a possible drug overdose by friends about 9:00 a.m. Saturday in Ecorse, Michigan.
Clayton had been sentenced to probation back in July after pleading guilty to fraud after collecting about $5,500 in food aid and medical benefits.
Friends say the 25-year-old Clayton was found dead in her bed, possibly of a prescription drug overdose.

Today Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette announced lottery winner Amanda Clayton has been charged with two felonies for welfare fraud.
Allegedly Clayton illegally collected about $5,475 in food and medical assistance benefits from August 2011 through March 2012 after winning $1,000,000 in
At her arraignment Clayton pleaded not guilty to charges of welfare fraud and failure to inform.
Each of the two charges of welfare fraud, failure to inform is punishable by up to four years in prison.
Clayton is being held on $10,000 bond and is scheduled for a court hearing on April 24.
Update: The Michigan Department of Human Services has cut off the checks to Amanda and turned her case over to the state’s anti-fraud officials.
